Math, Data &
Computing

While I have a foundation in using data-driven approaches to guide my design decisions, I’m still in the process of building my confidence and expanding my skills in the area of Math, Data & Computing. I’ve gained experience with AI and machine learning to personalize designs, and I’ve learned how to use data to spark a "conversation" with users to inform the design process. Courses like Research through Design, Making Sense of Sensors, Project 3, and my FBP, taught me to analyse data to understand human behavior and emotions more deeply.

I am also able to work with computational design, using algorithms to create patterns and forms, and becoming more comfortable with data visualization and coding to help personalize and adapt designs. Creative Programming, where I learned to combine art and coding with Processing, was useful in understanding garment patterns for Project 3. However, I know that this area is still a work in progress for me, and there’s a lot more to learn. I’m excited to continue building my skills and growing my confidence in data, computation, and coding, as I see this as a crucial area for the future of my design work.
